XMG has updated its Apex gaming laptop lineup with the announcement of the 17-inch Apex 17 M25. The model is based on the latest AMD mobile processor and the latest generation GeForce RTX graphics card. The hardware platform of the new model is based on a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX with a maximum clock speed of 5.4 GHz, working in tandem with a discrete GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card. The laptop supports an upgrade to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM, and two M.2 slots can accommodate 8 TB SSDs (PCIe 4.0). The 17-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels supports a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The maximum brightness of the backlight is 300 nits, and the color gamut is 100% P3 and sRGB. Above the screen is a webcam with 1080p streaming resolution and a physical privacy shutter. The set of interfaces includes a Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps), a pair of USB-C (DisplayPort Alt) and USB-A ports, a 2-in-1 audio jack, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 modules. The XMG Apex 17 M25 measures 402 x 265 x 28.6 mm and weighs 2.8 kg. The top cover is made of aluminum, and the full-size keyboard with numeric keypad is complemented by RGB backlighting.
