Vivo has unveiled the Y50s 5G and Y50e 5G, affordable smartphones with an emphasis on battery life. The models are very similar in appearance, but differ in several technical characteristics.

Both gadgets are built on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, equipped with a 6.74-inch IPS display (1600x720 pixels, 90 Hz) and a 6000 mAh battery. The cameras are also the same: a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. But that's where the differences begin.

The Vivo Y50e 5G has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, with a charging power of 15 W. The Y50s 5G, on the other hand, comes in configurations with 6, 8, and 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, and also supports 44-watt fast charging.

Both new models are IP64-rated, equipped with a 3.5 mm audio jack, IR port, side fingerprint scanner, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.4 modules. They run on Android 15 with OriginOS 5 skin.

The gadgets are already on sale in the Chinese market. The Vivo Y50e 5G (6/128 GB) costs $215, while the Y50s 5G model starts at $260 for the 6/256 GB version.
