Ahead of its official launch, new details about the vivo X300 Ultra have surfaced online. vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao discussed the smartphone's professional video capabilities.

According to the company representative, the upcoming vivo X300 Ultra will feature improved hardware-based video recording and post-processing. One of the most significant innovations will be support for 4K recording at 120 frames per second in 10-bit format across all focal lengths. This means users will be able to shoot with any sensor in the rear camera module. This will further ensure smoothness and better video quality.

The smartphone will also feature a more advanced professional video mode with an updated interface. The recording screen reportedly displays shooting information in greater detail, allowing users to manually adjust a wide range of settings.

Another feature mentioned by Han Boxiao is the ability to preview 3D LUT color profiles while recording video in Log format. This allows users to evaluate the colors and tone of the video in real time, without waiting for the editing stage.

For post-production, the vivo X300 Ultra will support the professional APV 422 video codec. This format offers a wider color gamut and greater editing flexibility. Log-format footage can be directly integrated into ACES color grading workflows, which are widely used in film production.
