vivo continues to reveal details about its upcoming flagship, the X300 Ultra. Previously, the brand focused mainly on the device's cameras, but it has now been revealed that significant changes will also affect the audio system—both sound recording and playback.

According to vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao, the smartphone will feature an improved recording system. The device will use four microphones simultaneously, combining spatial recording, noise-cancellation algorithms, and AI processing to isolate voices. The camera app will include additional settings—such as directional recording, noise-cancellation adjustment, and even sound gain control.

The hardware will also see changes. A speaker with an acoustic chamber of about 0.8 cm³ will be installed at the top of the body—nearly three times larger than in many modern flagships, where this figure is typically 0.3–0.5 cm³. The amplifier has also become about 20% more powerful, which, according to the company, should improve low-frequency reproduction and expand the high-frequency range.

To fit such a speaker into the body, engineers had to redesign the internal layout of the smartphone's upper section. The company claims to have used a new, patented acoustic chamber design.

Rumor has it that the vivo X300 Ultra will be unveiled as early as March 30.
