Vivo has made a surprise return to the S50 series after the May announcement of the S60, adding the S50t Vitality Edition, which is largely identical to the regular S50t. The S50t Vitality Edition uses LPDDR5 memory instead of the LPDDR5X found in the S50 and S50t. It comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The smartphone features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2750x1260 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The touchscreen layer boasts a polling rate of up to 2000 Hz. There are three cameras on the back: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with OIS. The latter supports digital zoom up to 100x. The front camera also has a 50 MP resolution and autofocus. The 6,500 mAh battery supports 90W wired charging and reverse charging via USB Type-C. Wireless charging is not available. The smartphone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for unlocking. The case measures 157.52 mm in height and 74.33 mm in width. Depending on the color, the thickness ranges from 7.49 to 7.59 mm, and the weight reaches 197 g. The model is available in Space Black, Inspiration Purple, Confession White, and Serene Blue. The version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage costs 3,299 yuan (about $490), and the 512GB version costs 3,599 yuan (about $535). |
