Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 has become the first smartphone powered by the new flagship Exynos 2500

Samsung has unveiled a new model of the Galaxy Z Flip7 flip smartphone. It received a larger external and internal screens, and the body has become thinner. The device is also equipped with the latest Exynos 2500 processor and support for new Galaxy AI features.

When unfolded, the body has become thinner by 0.4 mm - it is now 6.5 mm versus 6.9 mm of its predecessor. Dimensions are 166.7 x 75.2 x 6.5 mm, and in folded form - 85.5 x 75.2 x 13.2 mm. The weight of the novelty is almost unchanged - 188 g. The smartphone is protected by IP48 standard and uses reinforced glass Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 front and back. The frame is made of second-generation reinforced aluminum.

The main 6.9-inch screen is Dynamic AMOLED 2X with FHD+ (2520x1080) resolution and adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. The outer display has increased from 3.4 to 4.1 inches (Super AMOLED, 1048x948, 60/120 Hz) and is called Infinity FlexWindow. It supports multiple scenarios, from quick access to widgets and music control to Galaxy AI features and notification view.

The main camera is dual-camera. It's a 50MP wide-angle one (f/1.8, OIS) and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle one (f/2.2, 123° field of view). A 10MP (f/2.2) front camera is integrated into the internal display. Image processing is improved with a new NPU that is 22% faster than the previous generation.

The 3nm Exynos 2500 processor is responsible for the performance. The RAM available is 12GB of LPDDR5X standard, while the storage can be 256GB or 512GB. The battery capacity is 4300 mAh. Support for fast wired and wireless charging is claimed.

Samsung also announced the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, a more affordable version based on last year's Flip6. The device will get the same 3.4-inch external screen with a “quiff” under the cameras, 6.7-inch internal display, last generation's flagship Exynos 2400 processor and a 4000 mAh battery. The rest of the specs and design are close to the original Flip6, including cameras and displays.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 will go on sale on July 25 and will be priced from $1,100. There are three colors to choose from: silver, black, and orange. The FE model will cost a little cheaper - from 900 dollars.
