Insider Digital Chat Station has revealed details about the new Redmi smartphone. According to him, the company is preparing to release a device with a super-thin body, but with a very powerful 8500 mAh battery. According to the source, the new Redmi smartphone will have a body thickness of only 8.5 mm, while accommodating an 8500 mAh battery. There are smartphones on the market with a similar body thickness, but their battery capacity is much lower. For example, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is 8.2 mm thick and has a 5000 mAh battery. The insider adds that Redmi's laboratory is still improving its own battery production technology to maximize capacity without reducing service life. This leap in battery size has been made possible by the use of silicon-carbon technology. Unlike traditional graphite batteries, which have a maximum capacity of about 372 mAh/g, silicon-based materials can theoretically reach 4200 mAh/g. This technology is also gaining popularity among Chinese manufacturers. Rumor has it that next year the market may see smartphones with 10,000 mAh batteries without increasing the size of the case. |
