Xiaomi has unveiled its flagship Redmi K90 series. The base model features a previous-generation Snapdragon processor, a high-capacity battery with fast charging, Bose sound, and “professional-grade” cameras.

The smartphone has a 6.59-inch OLED screen with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display is capable of reaching a brightness of up to 3200 nits and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The touch response frequency reaches 2560 Hz, which makes the device particularly responsive in games.

Performance is provided by the previous generation's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, complemented by up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To protect against overheating, a 5300 mm² air-liquid split cooling system is used.

The smartphone's main camera features a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 sensor with optical stabilization. There is also an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom and 10 cm macro shooting capability. The model supports 8K video recording with a wide dynamic range of up to 13.2 EV.

The device complies with IP68 water and dust protection standards. It is equipped with an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner, symmetrical stereo speakers with Bose tuning, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and runs on HyperOS 3. The built-in 7100 mAh battery supports 100W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging.

The Redmi K90 is available in four colors: purple, blue, black, and white. Prices in China start at 2599 yuan (about $365) for the 12 GB + 256 GB version and reach 3999 yuan (~$560) for the top configuration of 16 GB + 1 TB.
