Redmi 14C with a capacious battery and 120-Hertz screen unveiled

The catalog of budget smartphones was replenished with a new model Redmi 14C. Compared to its predecessor, the device received a completely updated design and improved characteristics. In particular, it has a capacious battery and a screen with a high refresh rate.

Redmi 14C is equipped with a large 6.88-inch IPS screen with not the highest resolution of 1640x720 pixels, but with a refresh rate of 120Hz for maximum smoothness of animations. The claimed peak brightness is 600 nits. The fingerprint scanner is built into the power button on the side.

The smartphone is based on an entry-level MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra eight-core processor. Depending on the version, it can have between 4GB and 8GB of RAM, while the inbuilt storage ranges from 128GB to 256GB. There is also an option to install a microSD card.

Despite the large unit at the back, it actually has a single 50-megapixel camera with an auxiliary sensor. From the photo functions, portrait and night modes are announced, as well as various filters for photos and videos. For selfies there is a 13-megapixel front camera. A 5160 mAh battery with 18W charging support is responsible for the battery life of the smartphone.

Other features of the smartphone include a 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC module for contactless payment for purchases.

The novelty is already on sale in the Czech Republic with prices starting from 120 euros for the basic 4/128 GB version. The 8/256 GB version costs 149 euros.
