POCO has unveiled its budget-friendly C81 and C81X smartphones. Both models are designed for basic everyday tasks and feature large displays for comfortable content viewing. The POCO C81X features a 6.88-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1600x720 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The manufacturer claims accurate touch recognition even with wet fingers, support for adjusting color temperature according to circadian rhythms, and the absence of screen flicker. The device's performance is powered by a Unisoc T7250 processor paired with 3/4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The UFS 2.2 storage capacity is 64 GB, and a microSD card with up to 2 TB of storage can be installed. The main camera has a resolution of 13 MP (f/2.2), and the front camera has a resolution of 8 MP (f/2.0). The 5,200 mAh battery supports 15-watt fast charging. Its claimed lifespan is 1,000 cycles before capacity drops by 20%. The list of features is rounded out by a dual-band Wi-Fi module and HyperOS 2 firmware. The smartphone measures 171.79 x 79.77 x 8.26 mm and weighs 193 grams. The POCO C81 differs from the X version with a 6.9-inch IPS display (1600x720 pixels, 120 Hz), a battery capacity increased to 6,300 mAh, and HyperOS 3 firmware. The dimensions of this model are 171.56 x 79.47 x 8.15 mm, and it weighs 208 grams. Both models will go on sale in India on April 27. The POCO C81X will cost $106 for the 3/64 GB version, and the POCO C81 will cost $116. |
