For Hard reset Xiaomi Mi 6 use following steps

1. The smartphone must be turned off

2. Hold down the Volume Up and Power buttons for a few seconds

3. After the XIAOMI logo appears on the screen, you can release the keys

4. In the menu, go to "wipe data / factory reset", the Volume Up / Down keys are used to navigate the menu, and the Power key to confirm the choice made

5. In the menu, go to the line "yes" and press the Power button
