For Hard reset vivo V5 use following steps

1. Before Hard Reset (reset to factory settings), turn off your smartphone

2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons at the same time for a few seconds (up to 20)

3. Wait until the Android Robot image appears on the screen and release all the buttons

4. Release only the Power key when the VIVO logo appears on the screen

5. Release the Volume Up key when Recovery Mode appears on the screen

6. You must select the "wipe data / factory reset" item, the Volume Up / Down keys are used to navigate the menu, and the Power key to confirm the selection

7. Select "yes" and confirm by pressing the Power button
