For Hard reset General Mobile GM 8 use following steps

1. Use the Power button to turn off the phone.

2. Hold the Volume Up and Power button at the same time within a few seconds.

3. When the General Logo appears, release the Power button.

5. Press Volume Up and Power button to open Recovery mode.

6. Select "wipe data / factory reset. Use the Volume Up / Down buttons to go through the menu items and the Power button to confirm the selection.
