For Hard reset Dell Venue use following steps

1. Use the Power button to turn off the phone.

2. Press and hold the Power and Volume Up button for a few seconds.

5. In the menu, select "wipe data / factory reset" using the Volume Up / Down buttons for scrolling and the Power button to make a choice.
