Panasonic has introduced the TOUGHBOOK 56 MK1 rugged laptop. The device stands out not only for its durable chassis but also for its modular design, which offers extensive customization options. The TOUGHBOOK 56 MK1 features a 14-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and a maximum brightness of up to 1000 nits. A version with a 10-point touchscreen is available as an option. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 200H processor, and a Radeon PRO W7500M graphics card with 8 GB of video memory is available as an option. The maximum DDR5 RAM capacity is 64 GB, and the NVMe storage capacity can reach 2 TB. Wireless connectivity options include an Intel BE211 adapter with Wi-Fi 7 support, as well as cellular and GNSS satellite navigation modules. The port selection includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports, one HDMI port, and one Gigabit Ethernet port. The manufacturer has provided modular slots that allow for expanding the laptop's configuration. For example, in the left bay, the user can install a DVD drive, a second SSD, or a 10GbE network port; in the right bay, an additional battery or a fingerprint reader module; and the rear bay can be used for a third 2.5GbE network port or additional I/O connectors. |
