The Panasonic family has introduced the Toughbook 40 Mk2 ruggedized notebook. It is designed for professionals working in harsh conditions and, in addition to the protection of the case, received a modular design. It allows you to quickly expand the laptop's functionality.

Panasonic Toughbook 40 Mk2 features a 14-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 1200 nits. The case of the device is IP66 protected and certified in accordance with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461H standards. The notebook, according to the manufacturer, remains functional in the temperature range from -29 °C to +63 °C.

The main feature of the notebook is its modular design. In the case can be installed a second battery in addition to the complete battery for 68Wh (up to 12 hours of autonomy), additional storage, smart card reader, disk drive (DVD or Blu-ray), fingerprint scanner, RFID-card reader and much more. The Panasonic Toughbook 40 weighs 3.35 kg and measures 54.4 mm thick.

For the performance of the novelty is responsible Intel Core Ultra 5 135H or Core Ultra 7 165H processor, depending on the modification.
