Nothing has unveiled two mid-range smartphone models at once — Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. In this generation, the basic version and the “pro” version differ both externally and technically. Nothing Phone (4a) has retained its signature “transparent” design, but pink and blue have been added to the classic black and white. The back panel features an updated Glyph Bar light strip with 63 LEDs with a brightness of up to 3500 nits for displaying notifications and system events. The front of the Phone (4a) features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a resolution of 2720x1224 pixels, and a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits under Gorilla Glass 7i. The hardware platform is Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, 8 or 12 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The 5080 mAh battery supports 50-watt wired charging. The smartphone is IP64-rated and runs on Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16 with the promise of three major OS updates and six years of security patches. There are three cameras on the back of the Nothing Phone (4a): a 50 MP main module (Samsung GN9, f/1.88, OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom (up to 7x lossless and up to 70x digital zoom), and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The screen has a built-in 32-megapixel front camera. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has a 7.95 mm thick all-metal body. |
