Microsoft has announced the release of a new version of Surface Laptop. It will have the same hardware configuration as the previous model, but with one important difference in terms of the wireless module.

The new version of the laptop will have the ability to connect to 5G networks using an eSIM module or a regular nanoSIM, similar to smartphones. Six antennas will be placed inside the case so that the signal will be stable no matter how the user holds the laptop.

"At the heart of the Surface Laptop 5G is a dynamic antenna system that constantly adapts to the environment. It uses six antennas that automatically adjust based on how you hold or use the laptop. This design required a new material that allows radio signals to pass through without compromising performance, while still providing the durability, superior feel and lightness our customers seek," explains Nancy Gaskill, general manager of Surface.

Otherwise, the new variation of the laptop follows the Surface Laptop 7 with a 13.8-inch screen diagonal. Deliveries will begin on August 26, and the price in the United States starts at $1799. For this money, the user will get a configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The modification with Core Ultra 7, 1TB SSD and 32GB of RAM will cost $2699.
