Meizu has announced a new version of last year's flagship smartphone - Meizu 21 Pro Flyme Titanium Edition. The device gets a titanium body and a pure 24-karat gold decorative insert on the back. It also runs on a new firmware with a focus on AI features. Apart from minor exterior changes, the smartphone runs the new Flyme AIOS 2 operating system, which has an AI based on DeepSeek R1. The smartphone is able to understand complex voice queries, recognize information on the screen and execute contextual commands. Otherwise, the specs remain the same: 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3196x1368 pixels and 120Hz, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The 5050mAh battery supports 80-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging. There are three cameras at the back: a 50MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. There is also IP68 water and dust protection. The Meizu 21 Pro Flyme Titanium Edition is available in a single configuration with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage for a price of 3,999 yuan (roughly $555). There is no word on a release outside of China. |
