Another new product unveiled at yesterday's Apple presentation was the updated 14-inch MacBook Pro. It is based on the M5, the latest proprietary processor, which, according to the brand's representatives, provides the laptop with a significant increase in performance in AI tasks and battery life.

During the presentation, the company compared the laptop not with its predecessor, but with older models based on Intel and Apple M1 chips, claiming an increase in AI computing power of up to 86 times, graphics with ray tracing of up to 30 times, and “pure” processing power of up to 5.5 times. In different configurations, the model is equipped with a version of SoC that has 10 to 14 CPU cores and 10 to 32 GPU cores.

In terms of battery life, the claims were more specific: up to 24 hours on a single battery charge, depending on the usage scenario. At the same time, according to the specifications, fast charging technology allows you to restore up to 50% of the battery's energy in just 30 minutes.

The 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display delivers up to 1600 cd/m² of brightness in HDR mode and up to 1000 cd/m² when viewing SDR content. For everyday work and entertainment, the laptop is also equipped with a 12-megapixel Center Stage webcam, studio-quality microphones, and a six-speaker audio system with Spatial Audio support.
