Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable gets a stretchable display |
|
A little more than two years ago Lenovo showed a concept of a laptop with a sliding display, and already at CES 2025 the company brought a real device. The screen of the novelty, called ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable, is stretched using a special mechanism. The flexible 14-inch OLED screen with a maximum brightness of 400 nits can extend its diagonal up to 16.7 inches, which gives additional space for multitasking. With that in mind, Lenovo has added a special set of features that allow you to add widgets to the extra space and use it to view frequently used documents or to show off the screen during a video call. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor coupled with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD drive for performance. The set of specifications also includes a Thunderbolt 4 port, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 7 module and a 5-megapixel webcam with a security shutter. It is noted that the new laptop is larger and heavier than traditional solutions - it is enclosed in a case with a thickness of 19.9 mm and weighs 1.7 kg. Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable is estimated at $3500, the start of sales is scheduled for spring 2025. |
