Introducing the Lenovo Legion R7000 (2025): GeForce RTX 5050 and 180 Hz display

Lenovo has released an updated version of its R7000 gaming laptop. In addition to the latest number in its name, it now features the latest hardware from AMD and NVIDIA, as well as an “e-sports” display, an advanced cooling system, and a fast charging function.

The Lenovo Legion R7000 (2025) is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 H255 eight-core processor with integrated Radeon 780M and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card (8 GB GDDR7, TDP 115 W). The laptop's total thermal envelope is 170W, and the cooling system design includes heat pipes and two fans.

The new model's 15.3-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels supports a refresh rate of 180 Hz, brightness up to 400 nits, wide color gamut (100% sRGB), as well as NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium adaptive synchronization technologies.

The list of features is rounded out by a Lenovo TrueStrike 2.0 keyboard with a numeric keypad (1.6 mm key travel) and a Nahimic audio system. The set of interfaces includes HDMI 2.1 ports, a pair of USB-C ports (one with DisplayPort 2.1 and 140 W Power Delivery), Ethernet, three USB-A ports, and a standard audio jack.

Battery life is provided by a 60 Wh battery with support for fast 140 W charging via the Type-C port, and the package also includes a classic 245 W power supply. According to the manufacturer, up to 70% of the battery can be charged in 30 minutes. The laptop with Windows 11 pre-installed went on sale in the Chinese market at a price of $1,040.
