System76 has updated its signature Lemur Pro laptop for 2020, releasing an improved model. The new model features updated hardware, multiple display configurations, and battery life comparable to the MacBook Air. The Lemur Pro is available in a 16-inch (FHD+) version, which weighs 1.34 kg, or a 14-inch (QHD+) configuration, weighing less than 1 kg. The latter is the lightest Linux laptop available today, and also features a battery with a claimed battery life of up to 18 hours (the same as the 16-inch version). The laptop's performance is provided by an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 or X7 358H processor, depending on the configuration. The CPU is complemented by 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 4 TB of SSD storage. Using the configurator on the Lemur Pro website, you can add Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, as well as equip the device with a webcam and microphone. The System76 Lemur Pro starts at $1999 for the base model. |
