The mobile market already has a triple-hinged clamshell in a horizontal format - but an even more unusual model may soon join it. Infinix has shown what a vertical dual-hinged clamshell that turns into a regular smartphone when unfolded, rather than a tablet, could look like. The concept model is called the ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold. According to the company representatives, the unusual design of the gadget opens up new possibilities of video shooting. The teasers illustrate this by using the gadget as an action camera while hiking and as a navigator while biking. "When folded, the ZERO Series Mini Tri-Fold transforms into a stylish everyday smartphone with a comfortable grip and sleek design. It's lightweight, intuitive and designed for one-handed use, blurring the boundaries between smartphone and all-purpose tech device," said Infinix. The smartphone is expected to be able to be attached to anything with a special strap. And thanks to the fact that the smartphone can stand on a flat surface, it can be used as a tripod camera. It is not yet known whether this model will ever appear on sale. |
