Infinix has unveiled the new GT 50 Pro smartphone, designed to redefine the mid-range gaming device category. The device features additional triggers on the body, an active liquid cooling system, a high-refresh-rate display, and a high-capacity battery, yet remains relatively affordable. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The front features a 6.78-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The manufacturer is specifically targeting esports scenarios: support for 144 fps in popular competitive games is claimed. They've taken a thorough approach to heat management. The GT 50 Pro uses HydroFlow liquid cooling with a micro-pump that circulates fluid through a closed loop. An external cooler with thermoelectric cooling is also available. Support for bypass charging is also claimed, which supplies power directly to the motherboard to avoid using the battery. Another gaming feature is mechanical trigger buttons with pressure-sensing capabilities. They can be used not only in games but also for system actions like taking screenshots or launching the AI assistant. Other notable features include a 50MP main camera with OIS, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired and 30W wireless charging. Along with the smartphone, the company unveiled an entire ecosystem of accessories: headphones, a smartwatch, and a gamepad. The Infinix GT 50 Pro will be available in black, red, and silver starting at $405 for the 12 + 256 GB version, while the 12 + 512 GB variant costs $60 more. |
