DxOMark tested the cameras of the HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra smartphone. The new model took first place in the final ranking and set several laboratory records: for the quality of photos taken with the main and zoom cameras, as well as for portrait photography. The HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra took first place in the overall photo and video quality ranking. According to DxOMark, the smartphone's camera provides “exceptional image quality in all usage scenarios.” For example, it accurately selects the exposure even in twilight, provides realistic color reproduction, focuses quickly, and has a wide dynamic range. The detail in the photos was also flawless in most shooting conditions, and the portrait mode accurately highlights the foreground and blurs the background. The ultra-wide and telephoto lenses also demonstrated good quality: detail, low noise, and good color reproduction. However, there are still some drawbacks: sometimes the smartphone makes mistakes with exposure selection, and textures look unnatural when zoomed in if you take pictures in poor lighting conditions. Artifacts such as ghosting or noticeable color transitions are also sometimes encountered. Video quality was flawless, except for occasional failures in white balance selection. |
