Together with the nova Flip smartphone, HUAWEI has introduced a new tablet computer, the MatePad Pro 12.2. It uses one of the most advanced screens available on the market. At the same time, the manufacturer's main focus is on creative tasks.

The tablet features a 12.2-inch OLED display. It's the same dual-panel display as the latest iPad Pro, bringing the peak brightness to 2,000 nits. The screen resolution is 2800x1840 pixels and the refresh rate is 144Hz. This is the company's first model with a 3:2 aspect ratio - it's more comfortable for reading, browsing, and documents. The PWM frequency is 2880 Hz.

Optionally available nano-coating that eliminates glare on the screen. It is claimed to be even more effective than in the new iPad Pro. In its promotional materials HUAWEI actively promotes the use of the tablet paired with a branded stylus.

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 is based on a 12-core Kirin 9010 processor with a maximum frequency of 2.3 GHz and no support for cellular networks. A 10,000 mAh battery with fast charging is responsible for battery life. The proprietary power saving technology allows the tablet to stay in standby mode for up to 380 days.

HUAWEI promises top-notch sound quality with eight speakers, including bass and treble drivers, and the industry's largest resonator.

The new HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 is priced at $600 for the 12 + 256GB version and $670 for the 12 + 512GB version. Similar modifications with anti-reflective coating will cost $685 and $755 respectively, and the 16GB + 1TB variant will cost $939. The prices are for the Chinese market.
