HUAWEI unveiled its flagship MatePad Pro tablet for 2026. The new device features updated hardware, multiple display options, and expanded app capabilities. The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 2026 features a 12-inch display in a metal casing measuring just 4.7 mm thick and weighing 439 g. The OLED display features a resolution of 3036 x 1952 pixels, a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The Soft Light version uses nano-etched surfaces to reduce reflections and glare. The base version runs on a Kirin T93 processor, while the more affordable Enjoy Edition uses a Kirin T93A. The company promises a 25% performance boost compared to the previous generation. It comes with 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. The tablet runs HarmonyOS 6.1. Dual Desktop mode lets you quickly switch between the tablet and desktop interfaces with a four-finger swipe. The main camera has a 50-megapixel resolution and autofocus, while the front camera has a 12-megapixel resolution. Sound is handled by a quad-speaker HUAWEI Sound system with spatial audio support. Wi-Fi 7+ and Bluetooth 6.0 are used for wireless connectivity. There are no versions with cellular or satellite connectivity. The 10,400 mAh battery supports 66W charging. According to the company, a full charge takes 53 minutes. 40W reverse wired charging is also supported. The MatePad Pro 2026 starts at 5999 yuan (~$889), while the Enjoy Edition starts at 5699 yuan (~$844). The Soft Light editions and keyboard bundles range from 6499 to 9199 yuan (~$963?$1363). |
