HUAWEI officially announced the new MatePad Edge hybrid tablet, publishing a teaser showing the device's design. At the same time, the well-known insider Digital Chat Station obtained some technical details about this gadget. Judging by the teaser, the MatePad Edge will be able to work in both tablet and laptop modes. According to available information, it will be equipped with a large 14.2-inch OLED screen. The insider adds that the tablet will also receive an impressive 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. It will be based on the company's Kirin processor from the personal computer series, supplemented by an active cooling system with a fan. The leak also mentions a Soft Light version of the tablet with an anti-glare screen coating. The tablet will be available with a keyboard with 1.8 mm key travel, a trackpad, a built-in 65 W charging port, and the ability to recognize the transition between PC and tablet modes. The premiere of the tablet and other new HUAWEI products is scheduled for November 25. |
