HUAWEI held a presentation of the HM740 laptop with a special version of HarmonyOS designed for office work. The operating system supports quick switching between workspaces and has improved privacy protection. The presentation took place during a conference dedicated to new HarmonyOS technologies. The HM740 model, running HarmonyOS 6 Enterprise Edition, supports quick switching between work and personal spaces with a four-finger swipe gesture. According to the developers, the laptop automatically sets the necessary security policies and work environment configuration when first turned on. The new model's set of interfaces includes USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB Type-C, HDMI, Ethernet, and headphone jack ports. The claimed battery life is up to 20 hours of video playback and up to 14 hours in video conference mode. Detailed specifications, release date, and price of the laptop will be announced later. |
