HP continues to expand its lineup of gaming laptops. The brand's latest addition is the relatively affordable 16-inch HyperX Omen 16. The device is available in several configurations, including a top-of-the-line model with an OLED display and the latest NVIDIA graphics cards. Depending on the version, the HyperX Omen 16 is available with a 1200p @ 165 Hz or 1600p @ 240 Hz IPS panel, as well as a 1600p @ 165 Hz OLED panel. The latter has a peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits in HDR mode and 100% coverage of the DisplayP3 color gamut. Versions are also available with processors ranging from the Ryzen 7 8745HX (Zen 4) to the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D (Zen 5). DDR5 RAM capacity is up to 32 GB, and the PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage is up to 2 TB. The graphics card is a GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 (8 or 12 GB). The laptop's battery life is provided by a 70 or 83 Wh battery. The price of the HP HyperX Omen 16 in the U.S. starts at $1,999 for the base configuration. |
