Along with its flagship Pad 3 Pro tablet, Honor has released a more affordable model, the MagicPad 3 12.5. It differs from the older model in terms of technical characteristics, but is also capable of handling most games and “heavy” applications. The tablet features a 12.5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 3048x2032 pixels. The maximum brightness of the panel in HDR mode is 1000 cd/m², and the refresh rate, depending on the operating scenario, changes in steps, switching between fixed values of 165, 144, 120, 90, 60, 48, and 30 Hz. The Honor MagicPad 3 12.5 is built on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and is available in two memory configurations: 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB. The new device runs on Android 15 with the proprietary MagicOS 9.0.1 shell (upgradeable to MagicOS 10 based on Android 16). Battery life is provided by a 10,100 mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. There is a single 13-megapixel main camera on the back of the device, while the front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels. The set of interfaces includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 (LDAC, aptX Adaptive) modules. The Honor MagicPad 3 12.5 measures 277.1 x 190.93 x 5.88 mm and weighs 528 grams. The Honor MagicPad 3 12.5 is available in four colors: silver, black, green, and purple. The 8/256 GB version costs $380 in China, while the 12 GB configuration is priced at $420. There is no information about the global release of the new product yet. |
