Honor CEO Li Jian announced the launch date of the flagship Honor Magic9 smartphone series. The company also announced significant improvements in performance, camera capabilities, and AI technologies. Following the Robot Phone presentation, Honor CEO Li Jian confirmed that the Magic9 series will debut on September 28. The manufacturer also opened pre-orders for the flagships. According to insiders, the company is preparing to release at least three device versions: the base Magic9, as well as the advanced Magic9 Pro and Magic9 Pro Max models. The key technical feature of the new series will be the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, manufactured using the most advanced 2nm process technology available today. Users can expect a significant performance boost, significantly reduced power consumption, and advanced capabilities for processing AI algorithms directly within the operating system. According to insider Digital Chat Station, the second key feature of the upcoming flagships will be an improved camera system. The rear module will include a 200-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.57 aperture and optical image stabilization, as well as a 200-megapixel periscope (1/1.4-inch, f/2.6). The camera was developed in collaboration with German company ARRI, a specialist in professional filmmaking equipment. As a result of this collaboration, the devices will support ARRI LogC3, ARRI Look, and ARRI shooting mode. |
