Honor has officially revealed the design of its upcoming flagship Magic 8 Pro, confirming the appearance of an additional button on the body for accessing artificial intelligence functions. In addition, the smartphone will be among the first models based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Magic 8 Pro's design ditches curved edges in favor of a completely flat back panel. The company showed off the smartphone in a new “Sky Glaze” color inspired by Chinese ceramics, with a distinctive pattern that appears under light. An important external difference from its predecessor is the additional control element on the side edge. Honor has confirmed that this is an AI button, not a camera key. One of the first related features will be the Magic Color service, which allows you to apply the color palette of one image to other photos and videos. It is already known that the telephoto camera will be 200 MP with an equivalent focal length of 85 mm and an aperture of f/2.6. Honor has already shared some sample photos. The smartphone will be presented alongside the MagicPad 3 Pro tablet, also based on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The announcement in China is scheduled for October 15. |
