Honor has announced an AI technology called “Bringing photos to life with AI”. It will debut as part of the Honor 400 series of smartphones, which is scheduled to be globally unveiled on May 22. The “Bringing photos to life with AI” feature has been developed as part of Honor's Plan Alpha strategy. It is powered by Google Cloud and as the name suggests, it brings static images to life by turning them into 5-second animations. The company promises realistic movements of the main characters of the photo, secondary objects, as well as natural and varied facial expressions. The tool will be part of the “AI Editor” section in the standard “Gallery” section of the app. It supports mobile photos, digitized archival images, and neural network-generated images. Cloud computing takes a few seconds and does not require selecting parameters, settings or other additional actions. |
