HMD held a presentation in India, where it showed the new Crest and Crest Max smartphones. These are entry-level models with prices under $200, but still have OLED screens, fast charging support and a high-resolution front-facing camera.

Both smartphones feature a 6.67-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. As a hardware platform uses Unisoc T760 5G chip, made on 6-nm process technology. A 5000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging support is responsible for battery life.

HMD Crest received a 50MP main camera with a secondary 2-megapixel module. The Crest Max model features a 64-megapixel main camera, in addition to which there is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and a 2MP macro. The front camera on both smartphones has a resolution of 50MP.

One of the features of the smartphones was the simplified replacement of the battery, display and charging port. The company claims that this extends the life of the device and reduces electronic waste.

HMD Crest is available in a 6 + 128 GB version priced at $173, while the Crest Max in the 8 + 256 GB version costs $197.
