Without any media buzz, a new model called Aura² has been added to the HMD smartphone family. It is a budget device with entry-level hardware, made in a recognizable design. One of the key features of the model is the use of a simplified Go-version of Android with low system requirements. HMD Aura² is equipped with a 6.52-inch IPS screen with HD+ resolution, 60Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 460 nits. At the heart of the smartphone is the Unisoc SC9863A processor, which works in conjunction with 4GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A 13-megapixel main camera and a 5MP front-facing camera are responsible for the shooting capabilities. The smartphone runs Android 14 (Go Edition) operating system, and is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with support for 10-watt charging. The list of features is complemented by a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button, as well as the IP54 dust and water resistant body. HMD Aura² in black and turquoise case colors goes on sale in China for $106. |
