ChromeOS now has a full reset with data saving feature |
|
Google has announced a stable version of its ChromeOS M131 operating system. It includes several new features, including the ability to reset your computer to factory settings without deleting personal data stored on it. The Safety Reset feature allows you to reset your ChromeOS computer back to its original state. This feature can be especially useful if you suspect your device is infected with viruses. This reset returns Chrome to its default settings, disables extensions, and deletes temporary files and cookies. Personal data, apps, bookmarks, browsing history and saved passwords remain intact. Google has also added a keyboard shortcut to quickly launch Safety Reset - CTRL + Shift + Search + R. Other new features in ChromeOS M131 include Quick Answers AI assistant for working with documents and a light indicator for incoming notifications in the universal access settings. You can use it to adjust the color of the flash. This will be especially useful for users who zoom in on the system, making it difficult to see notifications in the corner. |
