NVIDIA has unveiled a new version of the GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card for laptops. Its main feature is a 50% increase in VRAM capacity, which has the potential to resolve the “bottleneck” issue in some modern games. The company casually mentioned the release of the new product in its blog. The new revision uses 3GB GDDR7 memory chips. For gamers, this upgrade will provide a performance boost, while for vendors, it will allow for a slight increase in the supply of scarce previous-generation VRAM chips. NVIDIA's press release does not mention any other changes to the specifications. The graphics card will likely still have a 128-bit memory bus. Meanwhile, the company will continue to release the 8GB mobile RTX 5070 as a more affordable alternative. |
