Dell is preparing to release 13-inch XPS 13 and 14-inch Inspiron 14 Plus laptops based on 16-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and 10-core Snapdragon X Plus chip. The laptop will also get 16GB of RAM and, based on published images, will run the Windows 11 24H2 operating system, whose release is expected in the second half of this year. The upcoming OS update will offer a variety of different new AI features, including AI Explorer, which will capture all of the user's activities, including working in apps, emails, documents, meetings, watching movies and more. This will make it possible to quickly find relevant information through natural language queries. Windows Report notes that the new Dell Inspiron 14 Plus laptops will be thinner and lighter than their predecessors. They will get two USB Type-C ports, one USB Type-A port, and an SD card reader. The new XPS 13 9345 will in turn borrow the design of the previous XPS 13 9340 model, which offers Intel Core Ultra 100 processors. It is noted that the XPS 13 9345 will be offered with both a 16-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and a 10-core Snapdragon X Plus processor. The novelty will offer an OLED display with 2.8K resolution as the available screen options. In addition, the laptops will get Wi-Fi 7 support. Also, both laptops will be equipped with keyboards that have a dedicated key to launch the Copilot AI assistant as part of Windows 11. There is no word yet on when the said laptops will be officially unveiled. However, it is assumed that the new products will be available for sale this summer. |
