The ASUS Chromebook CR11 and CR1 are aimed at the education segment. In addition to the Intel hardware platform, they feature a more rugged design that can withstand even heavy daily use and careless handling.

ASUS Chromebook CR11 is equipped with an 11.6-inch screen, while the matrix diagonal of Chromebook CR11 is 12.2 inches. Both new products received hinges with the ability to rotate the display opening 360 degrees, which reduces the risk of breakage when flipping the lid. In addition, the laptops have ruggedized cases with moisture protection and MIL-STD-810H certification.

Depending on the configuration, the laptops come with an Intel N150 or N250 processor. RAM is up to 16GB and storage is up to 128GB. The list of characteristics complements the model WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and optionally - 4G-modem. The set of interfaces includes HDMI 1.4b connectors, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A each, as well as a 3.5mm audio port. Both models run Chrome OS.

The manufacturer has not yet announced the sales launch date and price of the new models.
