ASUS has launched ARM versions of the VivoBook 14/16 on Qualcomm chips |

At CES 2025, ASUS brought new modifications of its VivoBook 14 and 16 branded laptops. Both devices have switched to Qualcomm Snapdragon X chips and received support for the Copilot+ PC AI suite. As per the labeling, the laptops feature 14-inch and 16-inch displays respectively at the same 1920x1200 pixel resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. Both are based on Snapdragon X processor with 16/512 GB memory configuration. The claimed autonomy of the novelties - up to 19.8 h depending on the operating scenario. Among the features of the models, the manufacturer emphasizes the AI Camera function, which automatically dims the display if the user is not around, and a number of other AI capabilities. Among them are Generative Fill and Erase tools for photo editing and Live Captions for automatically adding subtitles to audio. For peripheral connectivity, there are two USB Type-C ports, a pair of USB Type-A ports, as well as HDMI and a headphone jack. The smaller model weighs just 870 grams. The ASUS VivoBook 14 and 16 are available for pre-order in the US for $700 and $750 respectively. |
