German electronics brand XMG has released a laptop with AMD and NVIDIA hardware, aimed at gamers. The Apex 17 Max model also has a large display, a capacious battery and a number of other features typical of gaming models. IPS-screen with a diagonal of 17.3 inches and a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels supports a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The panel's maximum backlight brightness is 330 cd/m². The manufacturer also notes coverage of 100% DCI-P3 color space, 100% sRGB and support for AMD FreeSync technology for a smooth gaming experience. The laptop is powered by a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX processor coupled with an NVIDIA GeForce GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 discrete graphics card. Up to 96 GB of DDR5-5200 RAM can be installed in two SO-DIMM slots, and the motherboard has a pair of M.2 slots with PCI Express 4.0 interface for drives. For the autonomy of the novelty a removable battery for 73Wh is responsible. The notebook's working time can be additionally increased with the help of a software “switch” of the discrete video card. There is also the MUX function, which, on the contrary, displays the picture on the screen directly from the powerful graphics adapter, bypassing the “built-in” to reduce latency. HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, USB Type-C and Type-A connectors, as well as stereo speakers, a noise-canceling microphone, a 1080p webcam, a backlit keyboard, and a cooling system with copper heat pipes and a pair of fans round out the list of features. The price of the XMG Apex 17 Max on the EU market starts at ˆ1599 in the minimum configuration. |
