Alienware unveiled its new flagship laptops with OLED screens and RTX 50 graphics cards at CES 2026, and also announced the release of two more gaming laptops at the end of the year: the first will be ultra-budget, and the second, with 14- and 16-inch screens, will be ultra-thin by gaming model standards.

The Alienware 16X Aurora has a 16-inch anti-glare OLED display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 240 Hz, 120% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, a response time of 0.2 ms, and a peak brightness of 620 nits. The top-of-the-line model is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM (SODIMM), and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 discrete graphics card (8 GB). The battery capacity of the new model is 90 Wh.

The Alienware 16 Area-51 is equipped with the same display as the 16X Aurora. All versions of this laptop are equipped with Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors, and the most expensive one has an RTX 5090 (24 GB) graphics card combined with 64 GB of DDR5-7200 RAM (SODIMM).

Additionally, the new model is equipped with an NVMe SSD PCIe Gen5, an audio system with spatial sound (4 speakers, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision), an AlienFX RGB keyboard with customizable backlighting and N-key rollover, an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 module, as well as a 96 Wh battery with fast charging (80% in 35 minutes) and a 360 W GaN power supply.

The Alienware 18 Area-51 differs from the 16 Area-51 only in size and screen: it has an 18-inch IPS matrix with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 300 Hz, a brightness of 500 nits, and a response time of 3 ms.

The Area and Aurora series models will go on sale in the first quarter of 2026, and the ultra-thin and budget models will be available at the end of the year. Prices have not yet been announced.
