Huawei unveiled the 14-inch MateBook 14 2024 laptop with Intel Meteor Lake and an OLED touch screen

In addition to the flagship MateBook X Pro 2024, Huawei has introduced a slightly simpler and more affordable model of the MateBook 14 2024 laptop for the global market.

Like the older model, the more affordable Huawei MateBook 14 2024 features a 14.2-inch OLED touchscreen with 10-point input support. It too has a 120Hz refresh rate, but has a peak brightness of 450 cd/m2 and supports a resolution of 2880 × 1920 pixels (2.8K). The same MateBook X Pro 2024 has a screen brightness of 1,000 cd/m2 and supports a resolution of 3,120 × 2,080 pixels (3.1K). The MateBook 14 2024 display claims a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, 100 percent coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces, and 95 percent coverage of the Adobe RGB color gamut.

Unlike the MateBook X Pro 2024, which can be equipped with Intel's flagship 16-core Core Ultra 9 185H processor up to 5.1GHz, among others, the MateBook 14 2024 offers a choice between a 14-core Core Ultra 5 125H processor up to 4.5GHz and a 16-core Core Ultra 7 155H processor up to 4.8GHz. Like the older model, the MateBook 14 2024 gets 16GB of RAM. The NVMe solid-state storage can be 512GB or 1TB.

The Huawei MateBook 14 2024 features a USB-C port with alternate charging and DisplayPort, two USB 3.2 Gen1 and one HDMI.

The laptop offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4 GHz/5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1.The novelty also has two speakers and a microphone each, and is equipped with a webcam with support for 1080p resolution.As an operating system Huawei MateBook 14 2024 offers Windows 11 Home.

The laptop is powered by a 70Wh battery and a packaged 65W power supply. The manufacturer claims for the laptop up to 19 hours of autonomous work in video viewing mode.The dimensions of the novelty are 312.6 × 226.8 × 14.5 mm, and the weight is 1.31 kg.

Sales of the MateBook 14 2024 in Europe and selected Asian countries will begin this month.
